A new sports floor FIBA approved for the gym of Santhià
The old parquet invaded by water replaced with a floor in beech
Water is definitely an enemy for sports flooring and in general for all the “furniture” parts of a gym. It is enough just a little, the forgetting of a window or a door left open and a concomitant storm.
Often, the problem is not how much water penetrates at the sports hall, but for how long the same is allowed to stagnate.
All these concomitant episodes can yield fatal consequences for the playing surfaces, which in the past had happened to the gym of Santhià, a small town in the province of Vercelli, Piemonte, Italy.
To repair the damage a radical intervention of the team Dalla Riva has been necessary, complete with a removal of the deteriorated flooring, replaced by about 600 square meters of new sports flooring in beech.
Now, at the sports hall, a new wooden floor Fiba approved shines with a lot of markings dedicated to basketball and volleyball.
