New sports parquet in the province of Trento: beautiful synergy between public and private
A well-designed project thanks to the experience of Dalla Riva Sportfloors
A technical specifications modified during work …
This can also happen when Dalla Riva Sportfloors’ experience accompanies farsighted technicians as in the case of the main gym (and two adjacent sports areas) of Tuenno (now Ville d’Anaunia) in the province of Trento.
For the background created in function of the new flooring, in fact, it was initially thought of a radiant heating system of conception now outdated, with double structure in spruce joists and suspended tubes.
A system that would have determined a consistent thickness and the need to heat a very large area throughout the subflooring with water temperatures up to 65 degrees.
DR staff suggested the alternative to the floor system called Compact 6, by which the radiant tube is “drowned” in the screed as a huge radiator, resulting in dispensing water at very low temperatures around the 35 degrees.
A technical change that has allowed the Municipality of Tuenno a great savings in terms of utilities, an intuition welcomed by engineer Paolo Odorizzi responsible for the intervention.
A design change that, amongst other things, was used to avoid the problem of noise pollution that the system initially proposed would have generated during the parquet stressing phases as in the case of basketball.
So, a nice public-private synergy for everyone’s satisfaction.
